LinkHound searches for pages mentioning a brand, compares them against the sites already linking to that brand's domain, and shows you the difference. It is a research tool. It finds candidates for you to review; it does not contact anyone on your behalf.
Search data is a sample, not a census. A scan reads the strongest few hundred mentions out of what can be many thousands, and the underlying data can be weeks or months old. Some results will be about a different company with the same name, which is why the tool asks you to describe yours.
We also cannot promise that any site will add a link. That is entirely up to them.
Check every result before you act on it. The list is a starting point for your judgement, not a substitute for it.
Every link in a LinkHound report points to a third-party website that we do not own, control, or vet. We find pages that mention your brand. We do not check whether those pages are safe.
Some of what a scan turns up is junk. Our filters remove the obvious cases, but they will never catch everything, and a page that mentions your brand can still be a phishing site, a scraped copy of someone else's article, or a page built to look like a publisher in order to collect information from whoever visits it. A high domain rank does not mean a site is trustworthy.
So before you click, and especially before you type anything:
The same applies to anyone you forward a report to. You are responsible for checking a site before you act on it or contact it, and we are not liable for what happens on a website we merely found.
Free scans are limited per person. Do not try to get around that limit with scripts, multiple addresses or automated requests. Do not resell raw output as though it were your own product, and do not use the tool to harass the people whose sites appear in your results.
When you contact a site from a LinkHound list, you are responsible for what you send. Follow the marketing and spam rules that apply where you and they are.
Keep your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Paid plans run monthly and renew until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep access until the period you have paid for ends. Each plan includes a set number of scans per month, and scheduled re-scans count towards that number.
We can change prices, but never in the middle of a period you have already paid for. Any change applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it takes effect.
Cancel whenever you like. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep full access until the period you have already paid for runs out. We do not refund part of a month that has already started, because the scans in it have already cost us money to run.
If something on our side goes wrong, that is different. If the service was broken, if you were charged twice, or if a plan clearly never worked as described, write to omar@sandstormdigital.com and we will sort it out. We would rather refund someone than argue with them.
A scan that returns fewer results than you hoped is not a fault. Search data varies by brand, and a quiet result usually means there is genuinely little unlinked coverage to find.
You can close your account whenever you like. We can suspend an account that is being used to abuse the service or the people in its results, and we will tell you why.
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for business losses arising from your use of it, for the accuracy or completeness of any result, or for anything that happens on a third-party site you reach from a report.
Write to omar@sandstormdigital.com with anything at all, including a problem with a result or a site you think should not be in your report.
